Mental health consultations in English

Hello, I’m Henrique

I am a physician who graduated from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) in 2022. I am currently completing my psychiatry residency at Instituto Municipal Philippe Pinel, in Rio de Janeiro.

I offer consultations in English and Portuguese for adults and adolescents aged 12 and older. We talk about what brought you to the appointment, your history, and what you would like help with.

What happens in an appointment?

The first appointment lasts 60 to 90 minutes. We discuss your symptoms, sleep, routine, previous care and any medication you take. I explain the possibilities we are considering and we agree on the next steps.

Medication is not automatic. If it is appropriate, we discuss the reasons, expected benefits and possible difficulties. If you already have a therapist, you can continue that care; with your permission, we can also communicate.

In person in Rio, or online within Brazil

In-person appointments take place at Casa Reinventa, Rua Teresa Guimarães, 185, Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro, CEP 22280-050.

Online consultations are available to people located in Brazil when clinically appropriate. Choose a private space and check your internet connection, camera and microphone. If your situation requires in-person assessment or another service, I will explain the next step.

The first follow-up is included

The initial consultation costs BRL 500 and includes one follow-up appointment 1 to 3 weeks later. This gives us time to revisit questions, review any requested test results and discuss how you have been feeling since we first spoke.

Later appointments are charged separately at BRL 500 for new patients. Payment is available by Pix or card. Care is private; if you plan to request insurance reimbursement, check your policy and document requirements beforehand.

Before we meet

If you have them, bring previous prescriptions, reports and test results, along with a list of current medication. You do not need to order tests before the appointment. If you do not have a Brazilian CPF or need a particular document, mention this when booking so we can clarify the arrangements.

During ongoing care, you can contact me directly on WhatsApp with treatment questions. Replies are not immediate, and some concerns require an appointment. This is not an emergency service.
